My feather paintings are all original, hand-painted works of art, so you can be assured that no two feathers are the same. I use duck, goose, pheasant, wild turkey, guinea fowl and pigeon feathers as canvases that offer a diversity of sizes, patterns, and textures. All of my feathers are legally obtained and are either naturally molted or the byproduct of a hunt. If you'd like a custom feather painting, please contact me at the link above.

Lab and Pheasant on a wild turkey pretail feather
These feathers were a generous donation from friends in Idaho who are avid turkey hunters. The concept of the painting derived from an interest among hunters to celebrate and memorialize their hunting companions in a unique and symbolic way. This painting was donated to a Pheasant's Forever chapter in Pennsylvania and was auctioned off at their annual banquet in September of 2009. The painting brought in $300, and the money went toward habitat restoration.
